Surprise Attack B-24M-15-FO 44-50956 374BS, 308BG, 14AF CBI Not a lot of info at this time except that the original panel is on display at the American Airpower Heritage Museum in Midland ,TX. This Vargas girl appeared on several a/c during the war. 18"x40" $425.00 |
|
Sack Time B-24-M 44-50797 374BS, 308BG, 14AF Not much info on this a/c other than the group primarily conducted night missions in search of enemy submarines and shipping, hence the black paint. This artwork was widely used on many planes throughout the war and is an accurate depiction of the Alberto Varga illustration that appeared on the aircraft. The original panel survived the smelters and is on display at the American Airpower Heritage Museum in Texas. Unfortunately, it is painted in the wrong color scheme. Further analysis is discussed in Velasco's new nose art book as to how and the possibility of error on its historical significance. Velasco has aquired the only known photos of SACK TIME and proves that this is the correct color scheme 18x40" $475.00 |

Axis Nightmare B-24D 41-24138 373GS, 308BG 14th AF It appears that the lettering is also white but upon studying other color photos from the squadron, yellow was the color used. The stencil block info is not in its correct place, but aesthetically pleasing in our panel. 18x40" $425.00 |
